The South Australian Government On-farm Drought Infrastructure Scheme
The South Australian Government has introduced the On-farm Drought Infrastructure 75% Rebate Scheme.
You can get 75% rebate, up to a maximum grant of $5,000 (GST exclusive) for eligible farm equipment bought on or after November 26, 2024. Full details here
There is $5million in funding allocated for this scheme with a mamixum $5k per farm, so that means 1000 farms can be supported. Its a first in, first served application process.
Eligibility:
- You are a South Australia property owner, share-farmer, or lessee
- Your business is registered with the ATO as a Primary Producer with an ABN
You earn over 50% of your income from primary production

Steps to apply for the rebate:

Purchase and install the eligible products.

Apply for the grant via the online portal
You will need to describe your Primary Production business, including providing details of your enterprise and how the proposed activities will manage current drought conditions and strengthen preparedness for future droughts.
And submit supporting documentation including a Tax invoice of the purchase
Application will be assessed and payment transferred into your nominated bank account
