Farmo purchases Station Innovation - 2 great Aussie Agtechs become 1
Farmo is pleased to announce its acquisition of Station Innovation as of September 16, 2024. As part of this transition, Farmo will assume responsibility for Station Innovation’s satellite and network accounts and integrate its data and devices into the Farmo platform. We warmly welcome all Station Innovation customers and are committed to providing comprehensive support throughout this transition into the Farmo ecosystem.
Why Did Farmo Acquire Station Innovation?
Station Innovation's founder, Chris, approached us as he sought to step back after dedicating 15 years to building and growing the business. As a relatively new player in Agtech, Farmo was impressed by the pioneering work Chris has achieved and recognized the strategic value of this acquisition. By expanding our customer base, we can further invest in enhancing our technology and customer support services.
What Challenges Lie Ahead?
Farmo has traditionally focused on cellular network technology, whereas Station Innovation’s EcoSAT products are largely satellite-based. While satellite technology is evolving rapidly, Farmo will continue to maintain connectivity for existing EcoSAT products, although we will discontinue selling these models. Instead, we have partnered with HiLo from New Zealand to offer advanced radar satellite tank sensors when EcoSAT units require replacement. As we deepen our understanding of Station Innovation’s operations, we will identify and address additional needs to ensure a smooth transition and long-term success.
